Everyone is saying that we should throw in the towel and start playing for the future by playing Ainge and the freshman. First of all I do not agree with this, but in the "play for the future" plan then we should keep playing Clausen to keep Jimmy happy so he will come here. Just a thought

We should only be so lucky for him to keep the Clausen "we only beat ourselves curse" at Fla, USC, or Bama.

That is funny considering he is still listing us as his favorite. And for the person who is talking about the Clausen curse, Casey led us to one of the biggest wins for our program in the last 10 years against the gators in '01. He almost led us to a NC appearance in '01. IMO he was a damn good QB.

Are there anymore Mannings? If Peyton would get busy, we could have another one in about 18 years.

Agreed. Casey was very underappreciated, in my opinion. He was pretty darn good when the team around him was not crumbling. Remember, he was beat up his junior year and had no chance. His senior year we were still having some problems, especially in the protection area.

Did anyone besides me go see the frigging 2001 SEC Championship game against a much less talented LSU that we had already beaten and hin screwing up repeatedly. Also the "fumble snap in the rain" against Florida fiasco???Did he ever win anthing meaningful SEC Champ, BCS etc???? Please six years of slow footed-excuse-making Clausens is enough!!!

He threw for over 300 yards in the SEC game. He was sharp. The other guys dropped the ball, literally. And our defense was uncharacteristically run through - which I still don't understand with a QB that couldn't do anything but run QB draws and hand off.

i thought tebow was going to go to Florida? He is a good fit for Alabama, I have played that kid on the field before, he is something else, even though he isnt throwing up huge numbers this year like he did last.

Much underappreciated, CC learned how to maximize his talents especially with a WR corps that is no where near as talented as ours today (on paper).

Jimmy Clausen will make the best decision for him, with Daddy and Sons input, at the time he beeds to commit. Rick had no place to go and Casey chose UT because he could see an opportunity to start immediately.

Until then, the JC case, the jury will be out.

Scratch Clemson, no way, scratch northern schools, CA QBs don't head to colder temps, scratch NC, too inconsistent, scratch FLA, Meyer system is no fit, scratch Miami unless they get their act together, scratch Alabama unles they commit to a different off approach and off line development in passing protection, add UT b/c until any further notice, he is always going to be interested due to our Clausen history.

SoCal? Yes. Fla State, possibly, others not listed like ND, sure.
