South Carolina is 0-8 in their last eight appearances in Knoxville. Our bullpen has been less than reliable as of late and the pitching staff as a whole has fallen off a good bit. After UT's performance against a very good Ole Miss team over last weekend, I'm pretty nervous about this weekend's series.

Like Forrest Gump said, "UT baseball is like a box of chocholates." We've been playing a little better the past few weeks. Being in 9th place overall in the SEC should be a motivator.

Did Landon Powell finally graduate? Man, it seems like I've seen him play down here in the SECT for the past 10 years.

He graduated 2 years ago and plays for the Oakland As farm team.

Stats on USC:
We are a really good offensive team (first in NCAA in HR) but an inconsistent pitching staff. When your team faces off against Harris Honeycutt expect him to struggle. Hes lost his past 4 decisions after starting his career 15-0. Arik Hempy (friday night starter) is our most consistent pitcher and almost never has a bad day. On sunday expect freshman Blake Cooper, whos not all that talented but has played surprisingly well and has a 6-2 record this year. Right now our only reliable guy in the bullpen is Jeff Jeffords who has a strong fastball (90-94) and a nice curve.
I think the gamecocks will take 2 out of 3 this weekend.

I think you are right, 07.

It could really go either way. I just wish that Wynn Pelzer could get it going again for us. He was supposed to be our closer this year but has had some serious issues lately.

Knoxville has be unkind to Gamecock baseball teams for quite some time. We'll see what happens this weekend.

Well, right now our team is putting on an offensive performance against Tennessee Temple by getting 28 hits thorugh 8 innings, and scoring 24 runs. I know its not South Carolina, but this is a good sign!!!!!:)

Good win last night even if it was against bad competition. If we have a good series against SC then we can really have a great shot of making the SEC tournament.
