We all know what happened in the first game, what do you all expect in this one?

This is the final non-conference game before SEC play, and then there is Memphis.

STAY TUNED FOR THE SECTION 103 POSTGAME REPORT THREAD

I am going to go out on a limb and say we play terrible defense, allow one player to score 40 points, Wayne takes some stupid 3's, JP acts like the world is coming to an end every time he is called for a foul, and we still can not play defense. I say we lose by 10 to another not so good B-ball team.

Basically, this.

I'll just about promise you we make a star out of pargo again. We may win the game, but we'll help someone's draft status out real well again.

The same one that has been showing up. The team with bad man to man defense, no pure shooters and in desperate need of better play in the post.

Vols should win. It's at home. As it stands right now, beating a team beaten by Portland State and Utah, may not have as much luster.

Does anyone know what time the gates open for the arena? I want to get there early for a descent seat, but wasn't sure what time you can actually enter the arena. Thought I heard 2 hours before, but not sure.

We got one day of physical practice to prepare for Zaga at home and GA on the road. That practice was yesterday. I hope defense was brought up - because we're gonna need it.

I really don't feel like being Gonzaga's rebound team. Hope our boys show up and play some defense.

If this team needs anything more than the bus arriving at Stegman Coliseum on time to get a win, things are even worse than I thought.

This is an incredibly good Gonzaga team(considering recent losses), and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they managed to win. Their 4 losses have yielded effective shooting of 50% and upwards.

They don't turnover the ball. While that's not out strength this year(forcing it), it's still something a D like ours relies on. Their only real D liability is FT%--which has almost nothing to do with them and everything to do with us--and the amount of offensive glass they allow--this is a big strongspot for us.

That said, they're a highly efficient team that's hit a dryspell. Due to their inability to corral boards in the opp. end, we just have to hope they don't shoot a high percentage from outside and we should come out with a close win.

Vols 85 Zags 81

The Vols will win in a close one. The Zags have a great team but have been alot like us...not playing at all how they should be playing. Students are back in school for tomorrow nights game....we have a huge home winning streak going....the Vols will be on fire and finally play great ball. Go Vols!

I just found out that I have to work in Huntsville tomorrow, and I will be pulling all stops to get done in time to make it back to Chattanooga to drop off my help and head up 75.

I really think we will put it all together this game, guys. I'm not saying we play the perfect game, that notion is just retarded. But I say we get it going early for a change, cause some turnovers, play some better D, and get in transition. We still allow a few uncontested 3's, a couple easy buckets in the paint, but we control the tempo and make it look like we have a solid gameplan and stick with it.
Maybe it stays close, if so, I think it will be one of those games where it's obvious we're in control.
In modest optimism mode, I say we win by at least 10 if it's not a back and forth game.
High optimism, we can run them out of the building(not likely) if we just get an all out solid performance. 20+ point blow out.
No facts, no stats, just my gut feeling(short version) on this game...

I really doubt we lose. I'm not biased or naive enough to say that it can't happen, I just feel like we'll get to see the closest thing to what we've wanted to see all year so far.
Just a solid 40 minutes of Tennessee basketball.
I would say the arena should be packed out tomorrow. Are the students still gone? Either way, it ought to be closer to capacity than any game we've had this season. I can't wait, hopefully we'll be ready as fans when we have plenty to cheer about in 23 hours...
