The Great Eight to Come

It is a fair guess that when the dust has settled on signing day Tennessee will have added eight more new commitments. Who those eight might be is becoming a little more predictable based on recruiting activity around certain positions and players, or in the case of running back, the lack of such activity since that prospect visited UT. Alternative scenarios to the list below could include Wright, Pagan, Fulse, Rome, Moore, or an invisible mystery double secret silent five star commitment from Louisiana or parts unknown, so other scenarios could well result in an even higher ranked class. Maybe LV put his calculator to where the 2011 class will be ranked adding this list. The recruiting process is as fluid as ever at this stage, but if I had to predict today, here are our great eight commitments to come:

CB Lanier (JUCO)
OG Jackson
DE Mackey (JUCO)
LB Dawson
OT Richardson
RB Bellamy
TE Clear
DT (Mickey) Johnson

Good list, but I think is is slightly off. From my reading on Volquest here is how I think it plays out.

CB Lanier
DB Moore
DT Wright
LB Dawson
OT Richardson
RB Hill
TE Clear
TE Rome

I used to think Wright would be a barner, but now I believe UT has a big chance. Rome is a long shot, but I have a feeling we get him.

I can go with that. RBs are all speculative at this point.

Bumps:
Randolph, Jackson, Williams, Smith (4*)
Worley, Downs, Crowder, Saulsberry (5.6 to 5.7)

Greyshirt or drop: Carson

We finish with:
5*: 0
4*: 15
3*: 10
Rivals points: 2090
Rivals ranking: 9th

Jackson has not returned calls from Hubbs in 2 weeks. I was once confident about him, I think he goes to Miami. I think Hill commits and we have a surprise or two.
