gave this game to Vandy.

I've never see refs try so hard to help a team win a football game.

I expected a Bowl game this season and I believe our kids played well enough to earn the Win tonight even with Dobbs being off tonight and forcing our coaches to have to run all night.

Losing North was big too.

There was ZERO video evidence to change the spot of the ball and give a gift of a 1st down to keep Vandy alive.

Zebras were totally pathetic tonight IMO.

As the announcer said, his head and shoulders passed the line but they can't assume where the football was because it couldn't be seen on the replay.

Lets see it was the bastard in the replay booth not the ref 10 feet from the play

The facemask call at the end was a terrible call. Should have been called on both players, because they were both grabbing facemask.

I hate to say it but I agree with you. We had our chances to win this gm and couldn't do it. We had bad play calling and piss poor execution. It all boils down to we have a very bad team

The kids can only do what they are coached.

Are you kidding me???

The refs made 1 questionable call (the Pig catch)...and even then it should have never came down to a play that close, he was wide open....the Vols only have the Vols to blame for this loss...Hell Vandy put the game on a platter multiple time, but it was refused.

Why does there have to be someone to blame? Vandy made the plays when they had to, we did not, and we we're give golden chances in the first half. The refs didn't lose this game for us. The team lost the game. Quit making excuses.

I'm not even too sure about the call against Pig that wiped out Dobbs' TD -- seems like Pig tried to hold him or block him from behind, but failed to manage to do either.

This thread is complete BS! The refs did nothing to take anything away. Vanderbilt out played and out coached us and drove the ball down our throats when the game was on the line. End of story.

He made the first down and then some.

I agree it looked as tho he got it, but the initial call was short. Only way their supposed to be able to overturn the call is if they have clear evidence. From no angle could you see where the ball was in respect to the first down line. You can not assume anything there. They solely looked at his helmet place & upper body. Who knows where the ball was. Assumption at that point.
