I've been meaning to get with you about what Saturday did for Gary Williams. HUGE win for the Terrapins. I shudder to imagine what it would be like to have a 2-3 year old child sitting behind Maryland's bench this year. No telling what news words that child would learn.

I'm not sure there's ever been a time when a 2-3 year old should be within 100 yards of any bench Gary Williams is on.

definitely true. I can't think that this only bought him a year though. How is MDs recruiting class doing? The past five years it has just fallen off the map.

They've got a couple of good players signed and are one of the 4 finalists for Lance Stephenson. They're doing a pretty good job this year.

Memphis schedule the last 2 years has been vastly superior to this one.

Not to mention the three halfway decent teams they have played (not including us in this one) they have lost to.

I assure you none of those three want any part of Memphis now. Also, the Cincinnati team Memphis defeated the Georgetown team you consider "halfway decent." Twice.

Ok. I'll be fair. Cincinnati is more of a decent team than GU. That puts them at 1-2 versus decent teams with a loss to a definite NIT team in GU.

I agree with this as well. The early season losses were from a young team searching for themselves and a "point guard". Those questions have been addressed and the team now is far superior to the team that lost those three games.

Hate it as a Duke fan, like it because I want the ACC to be tough as nails again though. Plus, as noted often, I've always liked Gary. Still think he's the best coach in the ACC named Williams. Sort of glad he can't recruit like the other one.
