The HEISTman: espn conspiracy article

Most absurd part imo

To make their case, Tennessee partisans point out that Manning was completely left off 110 ballots, meaning 110 voters didn't place the future No. 1 draft pick and NFL Hall of Famer first, second or third. (Woodson was left off 88 ballots.)

Good article posted on, interestingly, ESPN. If Fulmer did that to hit back at Michigan, I applaud him. He did a pretty good job getting another bit of revenge in the 2000 Citrus Bowl by showing the wolverines what speed and offense looked like.

In the end, Peyton avoided the Heisman Jinx of NFL QB's, so maybe it motivated him to win multiple MVP's. The world will never know though.. The current diss of Hendon Hooker to even be invited even though no player in college football meant more to the success of his team is worse than Peyton's diss..

I remember that Rose Bowl game. WaSt was robbed of a last play.
I didn't even care, but was watching them come back against Mich.
Leaf spiked with time on the clock. I remember it ticking a couple of times, and the official said time expired. It was a true screwjob.
I don't think Fulmer would have voted the Wolverines lower than 2nd place.

It was extremely frustrating watching those roided up Cornhuskers throw our team around inteh Orange Bowl.

For Nebraska to beat THAT Tennessee team with Peyton Manning, Jamal Lewis, Peerless Price, Marcus Nash, Leonard Little, Al Wilson, etc, THAT badly…..Michigan stood no chance. I think Tennessee could’ve definitely beaten Michigan.

I was at the UT-Nebraska game. Tennessee was in it for about 7 minutes when I recall Nebraska punting 3 straight times and then the beatdown commenced. Definitely the National Champs from the eye test. I was amazed at the sheer number of players that Nebraska brought. I remember the warmup lines starting at the 50, stretching sideline to sideline and ending at the back end of the endzone. That stadium also sucked in terms of location. Nothing around it. Bad experience altogether.

The Rose Bowl delayed the dominance of the SEC by a decade, but the truth came out when the PAC10/Big10 couldn't hide in those games anymore.

I'm pretty sure by the guidelines of the Bowl Alliance, the winner of the alliance championship game (that season it was the Orange Bowl) was guaranteed the #1 spot in the coaches poll.

There was no screw job of Michigan as this article says
