We should use our first half of the Bama game as a Marketing and Motivational Tool: This is How to Beat Bama Video.

The second half saw a catastrophic breakdown, so below are (limited) choices to choose from. Feel free to use OTHER in case you want to add your two cents in.

First half was really good but certainly not "immaculate".

Several missed opportunities and points left on the field.

I get your drift tho bro. WHAT THE HECK DID HAPPEN?

Other: OL and DL did not come back out after half time.

We dominated the 1st Quarter and should of had 21 instead of 13.
The 2 failed attempts to get into the end zone from inside the 10 starts the confidence plunge.
We didn’t do much in the 2nd Qrter until the TD on the last drive.

The 2 plays TD to start the 2nd half broke us.
We’re fragile like that.
Just like the 60+ yard TD run by Florida did.

I don’t want to think about this anymore. I can’t stop. Depressing. Hope we can rebound. A big win at Kentucky will make me and all of us feel better. Hope we can run the ball again.

It doesn't help when you go for it on 4th down on your side of the field! Got to punt the Dang Ball sometimes!!

Halftime adjustments. Outcoached. No shame in it, just what happens when playing against superior P5 coaches.

I selected penalties because that is what I feel turned the 2nd half into what it was. I included "the penalties" that were not called but should have been called in that bucket.

I did not select execution or play calling because that was influenced by the sequence of events that lead to quick score followed by the crazy fair catch thing that landed the offense starting at the 3. Starting at the 3 = safe play calling.

IMO, that sequence with the no calls, crazy calls, bad spots by the refs had to be deflating. It wasn't coaching, it wasn't lack of adjustment, it wasn't any of that - at some point you realize no matter what you do, the 'yellow flags' are going to make sure you lose. And you then say .. why even bother. I was actually amazed that the coaches and players were even still trying to find a way to score, it I am being honest.

And if Bama were truly better than us, they wouldn't need the extra help. That is what is making this more difficult.

Did that second half remind anyone else of Dooley’s last year? We were in most of the first halves of games and it was like the team just gave up.

Farck no. This team is nothing like ANYTHING Dools put out there.

We kicked too many field goals, just like we did in the first half of the 2000 Florida game. Should have been farther ahead than 20-7. Even taking into account the turrible officiating, and the fact that we are not a great team from a talent perspective, we still could have won that game.

Bama is better and penalties is the best answer.

Bama adjusted their defense at the half and we don't have the Jimmies and Joes right now to overcome that. The receiving group just isn't very good. By far the biggest disappointment on the team.

Bama was able to put 8 in the box, cover White and that was that for the offense. When we did get someone in a potential scoring situation via the air, they were able to grab with no penalty.

The defense was hamstrung by no calls in key moments and finally broke down completely.

Bama is the most talented team in football and that includes Georgia.

It was most obvious with their DL vs our OL. They dominated up front.

This is pretty spot on. This is exactly whats gone on for years with Alabama. Officials come out with ridiculous phantom calls, let Alabama get away with blatant holding & pass interference, and it’s clear to our players that the writings on the wall. They knew they’d never be allowed to win. They kept fighting in an obviously rigged contest and I’m proud of them for that.

The phantom fair catch call was the turning point in the game, because Heupel didn't have enough confidence in Joe to throw it from our own end zone. It completely changed the course of the game. We recovered somewhat in the 4th qtr, but by then it was too late.

Kentucky, Saturday, 7 PM. Last Saturday Tennessee lost because Alabama was better. That's what happened. Time to move on.

After the first half, I sooo much wanted to say to the Vega$ oddsmakers that they totally underestimated our Volunteers. But I knew better. Game was pretty much over three plays into the second half when Bama scored.

Penalties, abysmal play calling, terrible coaching, zero adjustments, got out muscles in the trenches, couldn’t run the ball and horrible officiating. It’s a multitude of things.

So we had a touchdown lead and you “knew it was over?” Yeah right.
