Thanks hat. Do you think any other SEC teams have a chance at being top 25 teams?
If everyone gets eligible, which is a huge question mark, Mississippi State is a Top 25 team. South Carolina and Florida also have a shot.

I would have UK at top, but im a Cal homer, but I understand and like the KU. pick.

If Elliott Williams gets play immediately, they'll be decent. However, I think Tulsa and UTEP will both be better in C-USA.

Yip agreed...UTEP and Tulsa both will bring the heat to Memphis this season, thanks man.

Thanks for the love to Dayton, but it is well deserved. They bring back everyone but 1 player, and in return, gain a 6' 10'' big man.

this is what i hate about basketball. one great recruiting class and kentucky is preseason number 5. AFTER NOT EVEN MAKING THE TOURNAMENT LAST YEAR! At least in football when you do bad you have to earn your stripes the next year before your declared a great team. i mean uk probably will be really good but give them a month or two to earn it instead of handing them an extra 30 ranks so they dont have to win as much to stay as highly ranked.

If we play at all ad show any signs of coaching, we'll be better than 18th. However, we have Pearl and Maze.

But Swipperboy makes up for them. Have you not heard, he raps.

The pac-10 is going to suck balls this season. I expect a stanfurd like showing for Montgomery's cal team. I.e. lots of press, nice ranking, and early ncaa flameout.

Agreed. With Tyler back you have experience on your side. One year of maturity for Hopson and the others. Tune up the Defense because quite frankly its what killed UT last year. As long as the wheels don't fall off the wagon with Pearl then I think UT is a top ten team by January.

And possibly capturing an SEC east title.

Last year turned me into a pessimist. I am not optimistic about our situation at point and our lack of effort on defense will hurt us yet again. We need some of our younger players to really step it up this year.

If this season doesn't go well for Tennessee, it could be the beginning of the end for Pearl. I don't see the team being in a better situation next year, and last year was already a down year.

Cornell at 25? Just curious.
A good, very experienced team. They should waltz through the Ivy and have some opportunities to make a splash on their nonconference slate. They've been to back to back NCAA Tournaments and should make it three and have a chance to win a game.
