Probably not. Rumor is that Will Smith bought the script and fronted the money so his son could play the lead role. Not exactly a recipe for success.

This is fact.

What exactly is the recipe for success?

I don't know. That would be good topic for debate. I guess I would feel better about the movie if his kid had went through a casting call. I'm not being sarcastic when I ask -1) Can his kid act? 2) Is he any good at martial arts?

Don't know if he knows the first thing about martial arts, but he seemed pretty credible in Pursuit of Happiness.

My wife bought that movie on DVD at Wal Mart a few weeks ago on a whim.

We watched it as a family. You know, I think it holds up pretty well.

Nothing has filled me with blind violent rage like hearing about this remake of one of the greatest movies of the modern era.

It looks like cat vomit covered dog sh** on a newborn baby's face.

It just shouldn't be.

If you're doing a remake, I do like jackie chan for the kung-fu master

i can't say i like the kid though from the previews so far.....also it appears to be advertising it at times as more comedic i have to say

I just see no reason at all to "remake" this movie. Some movies I can buy a remake, but this one? Was there some huge demand?

I wonder if Ralph Macchio will have a cameo appearance?

sometimes, that's all these remakes are good for. "Clash of the Titans" broke that rule though and spat on the memory of the original film.
