Currently on Discovery Channel has been intriguing thus far. First hand accounts of Secret Service men who served the Kennedy family. I missed the first hour or so, but it re-airs at midnight tonight.
Best line:
Johnson Guy: Well, The President is onboard (on AF1 about to leave Love Field). Kennedy Guy: My president is back there in that box.
It never occurred to me how Bobby got onboard to deplane with Jackie....when he wasn't in Dallas....until they describe how he did it in that documentary.
But, I do remember those morons in Texas wanting an autopsy on President Kennedy while USSS was wanting to fly back to DC. It turned into a literal fight.
The footage where you can see the agent throwing up his arms in disgust when he is told to back away from the limo because he's obstructing the view of Kennedy was sobering.
