We have to put pressure on Ainge . He is a kid that can be rattled when pressure is applied. Cutcliffe has done a great job with him but he is not that far removed from his immature days of 2005. We need to get him frustrated.

Our defensive front has got to play better than it has so far this year. We have to get pressure from the ends. We can't let Ainge sit back in the pocket all day and attack our secondary. Wallace Gilberry has had a lackluster season so far. He needs to step it up. I know he has been doubled team some but he's still not playing at the level he did last year. Hopefully the sight of those tangerine flamingo colored jerseys and tic tac toe endzones will fire him up. :BANGHEAD2:

Yes Darby needs to be productive but we are going to have to mix it up on offense to keep them off balance. Tennessee may have a weak defense but they will be fired up and will play their best game Saturday. We need to hit the deep pass some...something we have not done consistently all season. Most of that is the receivers fault.

We can't let the vomiteers have a big play with the kicking game. I know Phil has been working harder on the kicking game for Alabama than he has all season long. He's hoping to get a return for a TD or a long return to set up great field position. He have to cover well or this could be something that blows the game wide open.

Ainge wasn't rattled by a defense thats worlds better than yours. Especially your defense which ranks last in the SEC in sacks.

Ainge hasn't shown the propensity you suggest.

If our defense is "weak" then yours is as well. Overall (across all categories), Bama ranks 36th while UT ranks 48th. What's more is that UT has faced superior offensive teams relative to those faced by Bama. Finally, UT has shown a much greater ability to score against the same level of defense relative to Bama - the defensive abilities of each team's opponents is equal (average scoring defense) yet UT ranks 13th nationally in scoring offense while Bama ranks 57th.

errr... good luck with all of that.

It's midseason man, If you haven't shown it by now, you're not likely to see it soon...

Hopefully the sight of those tangerine flamingo colored jerseys and tic tac toe endzones will fire him up.

I'm not much on your screen name, but welcome to The Nation...

Lardbuttphil... Nice name. Should be good game on Saturday. You list is pretty extensive on things you need to stop on Saturday vs UT. Good luck with all that.

UT vs Bama is always heated and hard fought. Am looking forward to another good game of which the tangerine vomiteers come out on top. Good luck.

The keys to victory for bammer are the same as they have always been, buy better players.

I would have to say the key to the game would be to score more points...If they do that then they will probably leave victorious. Too bad that won't be happening.

Obviously, the key to bama's victory is the fact that they have a certifiable genius as head coach. I think the tennessee coaching staff will be so befuddled by shula's master scheme that they may well just forfeit at halftime...i'm sure they'll be down by 4 touchdowns at that point. Let's be serious, everyone knows that tennessee has no chance of winning. I mean, we're going up against the greatest coaching guru in the nation. What can we possibly do?

It's unreal to me how the bammers just love to degrade CPF over his wieght while the only word I see coming out of Shulas mouth whenever the camera is on him is F***. Great role model for your young bammers!

The mactchup will be Gilberry/Sears correct? That is gonna be a dogfight.

I thought so, but someone on a Bammer forum said Gilberry lines up as a LDE. In that case, they wouldn't matchup because Sears is our LT, and Gilberry would be across from Eric Young. Young did very well against Georgia.

I guess you guys didn't see the unfortunate article on the home page that seems to confirm Arron Sears is listed as doubtful for Saturday, although he says he thinks he'll play and feels about 75 to 80% strength...hope he's ready to go, but wouldn't want to see something more serious befall him, obviously. :crossfingers:

Ummm, AV, the article says he is doubtful to miss the game. In other words, he is probable. Either way, he has been practicing so he will play.
