I'd give anything to have been born about 20 years earlier just for the chance to listen to Cosell.

Howard Cosell was one of a kind.

I'll second that!

They are talking more about history of MNF than the actual game. :bad:

They should've had a separate show to say goodbye.

I was thinking the same thing. They should have come on the air an hour early with a retrospective or something.

Of course, it's 31-14. It's not like they are taking away from the game or anything.

Good lord . . . Doug Flutie is playing QB for the Pats and Vinny Testaverde is playing for the Jets.

These guys faced each other in college back in 1984!?!

Well, since ESPN bought the MNF rights, maybe they won't be reduced to showing spelling bees and Scrabble tournaments.

Not that I mind the spelling bees. :birgits_giggle:

I liked the end with good ole Hank!!

Did anyone else notice the stat that the first and last game of ABC MNF had a score of 31-21?

It reminded me of the same thing that Keith Jackson did when we played in the National Championship game. It was more about him retiring (which he never did) than the actual game. :bad:

Keith's a lot like John Madden... only worse, and that's quite the accomplishment.
