We're a program in a rebuilding phase and we just played three top 10 teams back to back. The fact is that they showed us where we stand as a football program and where we are in our struggle to become a winning team. As hard as that is/was for us not only to watch but for us to realize it's the truth. Those teams, over a period of 3 weeks, exposed every single one of our weaknesses and showed us where we need to improve in depth, talent, recruiting, and coaching. It's a process that's going to take time but we'll get there. I do think we have what it takes to beat Vandy and Kentucky so that we can end this season on a good note.

Hang in there.

I'm afraid that we still don't quite know where we truly are as a program and that the Vandy game will help us define it even further. Hope I'm wrong.

How is there any question about where we are? We're not very good. We knew we weren't any good. And we're trying to change things. We may or may not be on the right track, but if any of this surprises you, I don't know what to tell you.

Tennessee is better than the last 2 weeks. Or at least they should be. That may not equally a win but they should have competed better.

Bama is on a totally different level

We get a glimpse of hope with our play against Georgia and our South Carolina victory......suddenly the impatient fans on here expect us to win the east this season....absolute insanity

Agree, but the next two games will tell me if we are status quo or regressing. Want be good for next year if it's regressing. I think it will be regressing. Vandy 42 VOLS 28

I know where we stand. Everyone watching UT football knows where we stand. Either way, I just hope our guys beat Vandy and Kentucky.

No reasonable person has said we should win the East. We all knew the Bama game was a loss. We all hoped we could play with Mizzou and Auburn and be competitive.... not lose all 3 games and be completely dominated and embarrassed by a combined 131-36 score. That's all.

The same UGa that Vandy beat? I take no glimpse of hope from those games. South Carolina was obviously the aberration this season. Probably their worst game of the season.

This. No excuse to get blown out and embarassed like we have the last 3 weeks.

Not everyone, that's for sure.

Those two games I think gave a lot of fans false hope and high expectations for this team that they shouldn't have gotten. This is obvious by certain threads being made here.

I think the two weeks of reps for the team this week will be good, especially for Dobbs.
