Ok, so how bout a "Who will be UT's leader?" for old times' sake? I'm looking at Golden. Even though he's only a junior, I think he will take charge this season. If I were Martin, that's what I'd be coaching. Trae has the potential to be a great NCAA PG by his senior year. We've seen what he's capable of, but he just needs a stronger grip on the reins of his game.

Who will be UT's leader this season? Will we even see a leader emerge?

By a long shot maymon. He is keeping guys in line, even while they're away from campus. Checking in on guys like stokes while in brazil or guys like McRae while back home in Knoxville. He has been far and away the biggest and most vocal leader so far this off season.

This is maymons squad he's gonna be the emotional leader on the court. We're gonna play through him this year.

A team can have more than one leader. I think Golden and Maymon will both do what is necessary to keep this team focused on their goals.

This times ten.

Maymon seems to be the more vocal leader. Golden leads by example. I'd say McRae is the emotional leader actually.

I agree there could be multiple leaders on this year's team. CCM's mentoring has improved the maturity of this team compared to some (not all) in recent years. If Stokes plays well, as expected, and Golden improves, I see both of those guys joining Maymon as leaders.
