Do you believe in the Madden Curse? There is decent supporting evidence from each version. Favre & the Jets choke to miss out on the playoffs, Mangini gets fired, he leads the league in interceptions.

Does it exist? If your favorite team's star player was going to be on the cover, would you care about it at all? Or is it just a silly notion. I wouldn't want my favorite player being on it

It holds somewhat...but it's usually season-ending injuries. The others stretch it a bit...

And I dont think anything that happens to a player the year or years after the curse really shouldnt count as being caused by the curse. It has always been about the current season and should be.
