I couldn't help but love the announcing for the Bama game. I lost count of how many times they called it an "NFL type" match up. I think that comments like this go a long ways to getting kids to think about the program in a certain light. Keep calling us an NFL type program and it will make this staff's job easier.:dance2:

Both the announcers were very complimentay of our staff. However, Verne jinxed us after Lincoln's FG... something along the lines of, "Holy Tebow, that kick was low. Watch for the low kicks to be a factor late in the game", and they sure were.

He also said that Saban said this was the closest thing to a Professional football game that he has been a part of since his arrival at alabubba. and another thing to comment on something ooltewah vol posted a day or so ago, it is absolutley mind blowing to see that Tennessee football is the 12th most watched sporting event in florida (pro teams included). I guess the message is getting through.

Yeah I thought the same thing when I heard him say that. The making up of phrases with Tebow in it is just ridiculous.

I watched the game and heard the comment about the kick being low, but please tell me he didn't actually say "Holy Tebow"

He didn't, but Dan Sileo, ex cane and nfler, was talking this morning, on his radio show, about Tebow refusing to speak to the media after the game and he kept referring to Tebow as "Little baby Jesus" Funny stuff.

I particularly liked that comment as well.

Saban's coached against every team in the SEC, as well as Clemson, FSU, Utah, and Virginia Tech since his arrival in Tuscaloosa...and in UT's 1st season under Kiffin, the Vols most closely represent an NFL scheme.

Not that UT needs any recruiting assists, but it can't hurt to have Saban validating everything our coaches are saying.

Both programs are going to talk each other up when we play Alabama with these staffs in place. It's obvious Lane has tremendous respect for Alabama and what Saban has done there, and I don't know what kind of respect Saban has for Lane, but being a defensive guy he most definitely has a ton of respect for Monte.

I'm glad to hear someone bust his chops for that - When I heard about that today, all I could think of is some of the stinker games that Crompton has had & he has never failed to come on Locker Room show & talk with Tim Priest after the game. Lost a lot of respect for Tebow when I heard that.
