The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

From Vandymania poster:

I hate to be "jumping the gun," so to speak, so often, but the writing on the wall as it currently exists just doesn't look very encouraging for us right about now.

Gee ya think? lol

This in a post about Kentucky looking good, and asking who in the SEC they can realistically beat...

Considering the outcome of the game, the players' reactions to their new, illegal, uniforms is hilarious.

Vandymania

Vanderbilt is a mid level sec team

What planet do they live on? I wish I could find the quotes where all 10 of their fans were talking about how Vanderbilt is now a legit program that can compete in the SEC and how the school now expects to win. They're smoking drugs. Vanderbilt will always be the worst football program in the SEC. Mid level SEC team lol

Mason was a home run hire though who would bring that Stanford toughness and winning to their on the rise program I thought....?

Mason bought into the Franklin hype. Thought he was getting the keys to a sportscar and ended up with a Gremlin.

Vanderbilt is probably the worst coaching job of any school in a BCS conference. Not only is the SEC the toughest conference there is, but Vanderbilt's educational requirements are much steeper than the rest of the conference(which is surprising if you've seen how uneducated half the vandymania forum is). They also have a small stadium and probably one of the smallest budgets when it comes to hiring coaches and their staff. As well a smaller budget for recruiting. Add in a history of being perennial losers, that's gotta make Vandy the worst coaching gig in a major conference.

Back to getting curb stomped by Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida for Vandy. They'll have to duke it out with Kentucky to avoid finishing last in the East. There can be only one.

With the improvements being made by Kentucky, I wouldn't even say that's a battle on Vandy's schedule.

I'm not saying Kentucky will be a contender, but they should comfortably beat up on Vandy and go home with the W.

I think they(UK) will be better,

Arkansas is a very good example to bring up, because Bielma came in to a program that had an offense built for a Petrino's spread and he wanted to change to a Big 10 style smashmouth offense. So they took their lumps last year, adjusting to the new system. Now they have recruited huge hog mollies up front(Arkansas' OL averages 328 lbs) and some punishing tailbacks.

I say all this to suggest, Derek Mason may well be our Beilma. We may have to suck, before we get better.

lolololololol
