Who out here is looking forward to this? I know I am since I follow the sport year around.

I just noticed that this channel had been added to my cable package. It's just the kind of worthless TV that I'll spend time watching.

I think it officially starts Jan 1, but right now they are running highlights of the 2005 World Series over and over and over and . . .

Having these 2 on the network won't hurt at all.

so it's going to be like the NFL network? I wish they had the channel running full time during the winter meetings.

Why? Who wants to watch a bunch of boring meetings, luncheons and what not? I snuck in a couple and looking back, I have no idea why. Most the deals are done away from everyone, either in the hotel rooms or over dinner. If you want to see the fun part of the winter meetings just barhop Indy next year and you'll get all you need.

The bad thing is its part of a Sports Package you have to add if you are a Comcast customer- that s*cks.

just so i know what was going on, it's not like they were going to show a bunch of GMs talking with each other.

that's just it, there's not really anything going on that is all that exciting. The media is there in full force all the time, but it's mostly just schmoozing with friends. Unless you want to hear what ESPN would regurgitate 20 times a day regurgitated every 15 minutes, there's not going to be a whole lot to show at the winter meetings.

what could we expect from MLB network during the off-season? I'm pretty sure i'll end up wasting my time watching it.

Old school this week in Baseball reruns, probably some classic games, a nightly show recapping everything and probably Fred McGriff infomercials for Tom Emanski

They had Joe Magrane and Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams on there last night doing analysis with Harold Reynolds and they we absolutely wretched. I can only assume they will get better. They have too.

This is quickly becoming my favorite station and basically all I watch when the wife is not around. They had Ken Burns' Baseball on last night 8pm. He does documentaries on the sport and last night was how the game got started and the early years and it was absolutely wonderful. It appears his shows are on a 8pm every Tuesday according to the lineup. I highly suggest tuning in if you are diehard baseball fan like myself.

So far I love it. It will take awhile to iron out the kinks, but they are going the right way IMO by tapping into their vast archives. I sat there last night watching a World Series from the 1930's just to see Ted Williams hit.

I'll watch, I can't wait to see all the Cub choke jobs. :banghead2::blink:

That's always good TV for some people, just not Cub fans.

The Cubs will have the best record in the NL again this year. Book it. The signing of Bradley is alot bigger than it was made out to be. Obviously overshadowed by the bigger names but that sign is huge for the Cubbies.

I hope so man. I didn't like getting rid of DeRosa but, I liked the Bradley signing for a LH bat.
