My first thought: 375 passing 275 rushing 3 defensive TDs. Tennessee did all the things.
  1. Milton had a relatively brief but impactful afternoon given how little time of possession UT had. Hit on some big plays and didn't miss many throws. Joe + Nico got the job done.
  2. The running game was great as usual. Another 200+ day. Nothing really new to say here.
  3. The defense DID NOT take the day off that's for sure. Three defensive TDs for the first time in program history and allowed just one field goal (at least that's what it was after I decided to turn the game off and go do something productive lol).

On second thought:
  1. Really the only thing I could pick a bone on for UT was their lack of getting to the QB for a sack. It didn't really affect any part of the game but given how everything else was amazing you would have expected a season high in sacks too. Oh well!
One funny thought...
The "oh God, I don't want to die" slide that Nico made when he scrambled made me spit out my beer. I hope he didn't injur himself collapsing to the field so fast 🤣🤣

Looking ahead:
UT is back next week in an effort to really define their toughness on the road this year against Mizzou. Missouri is going to be tough especially if they make it another night game. If they get the win watch out for a rowdy and raucus crowd in Neyland the following week against the Puppies.

Didn’t watch the game till the end? Turn in your Vol card and exit the door at the rear. Watching the young guys was one of the best parts of the game!
I watched until the middle of the 4th when I pretty much knew all they would do is run it and burn the clock. I didn't miss anything important.

I couldn't tell if he was sliding or it sort of appeared he might of almost tripped himself up trying to juke or just simply lost his balance.

Regardless, I liked his vision and some of the choices he made. Especially the touchdown throw. Went to scramble and saw an easy dump down pass for the TD. Kept his eyes up.

The TD pass was great

Mizzou looked really good last night. As much as I’d like to dismiss them, I think they will give us fits. Likely the best QB we’ve played. If we can’t get 60 minutes of D-line dominance, we won’t win. Our secondary won’t hold up if we don’t bring constant pressure.

Looked to me like he lost balance and also saw multiple defenders closing so he just went down.

It looked like he tripped himself up to me

He definitely didn't trip. He went down like a possum. Flopped right to the ground 😂 I get it though there's no reason to risk getting hit in that situation once the game was in garbage time. I just thougt it was funny the way he did it.
