First and foremost, I was proud of the guys hanging in there till the end. I still feel as if we let a golden oppurtunity slip away but, I believe as the season goes along Im realizing that we are playing like we should be playing. The talent that we have are producing, and unlike many of you who expect our O-Line that returned 1 starter to road grade every team we play in the run game, I believe they have played as good as you can expect them too.

Unlike last season where we underachieved, or were outcoached...or undercoached  This season is panning out like I had hoped it would in still having a shot in the BCS in November. Although that shot is gone after last night, we still have Arkansas this week....and still have an oppurtunity for a good bowl game. It just makes me sick when I get on VolNation looking for something to ease my mind about last evening, and find mostly links to firejohnchavis. All we can do is regroup and get ready for UA, the season isnt over just yet.

Although I am a huge UT fan, I did not expect us to beat LSU. Let's be honest here -- LSU is the best team in the SEC, regardless of their record. FLorida is overrated and we should have beaten them, but this one is different -- even though the loss hurts. Considering all of the circumstances, especially with the injuries, it surprised me that UT had a chance to win. I think that they were in it until the end is a credit to the ballclub. But, that said, UT will not be a force until we get our running game straightened out. When we had Lewis and Henry, nobody could stop the run -- we need another top-notch back like that in our program -- and SOON.

But it doesn't help to have just one when he is hurt -- we need more because he could not help us last night, and he may or may not be ready to go in Fayetteville

foster still looks gimpy from his early season injury, so i havent given up on him. i think hardesty will be moved to fullback next year. the backs are talented our line just isnt run blocking to well. part of that may be the freshman center.

i remember that run. i remember thinking where was this kid at for the florida game. he is the best pure runningback we got. good vision, great speed and quickness, alittle small, but you can't have everything i guess.
