It's an app that allows you and people in your immediate area to post anonymous comments. It's popular in colleges and big cities. Basically it's like a local stream of consciousness.

Despite granting its endowment, Cornelius Vanderbilt never once set foot upon the Vanderbilt campus, let alone in the state of TN. He granted the endowment at the behest of his second wife, and saw it as a way to mend fences with the south as he leased ships to the Union navy during the Civil War. Also of note, his second wife had the odd name of Frank. Supposedly her parents decided upon the name before she was even born, but even after finding out they had a daughter, they stuck with it. Despite being nicknamed "Commodore", he never saw military service. It was a nickname given to him as a ferry boat captain.

I've read up on Vanderbilt in the past. Despite being mega-rich, he's kind of a boring character, other than the whole incestuous marriage thing. I found that amusing.
