Nothing wrong with making new tradition I would like to see maybe not black but grey like okie state does. We need something new to bring life and excitement back in this program also a little variety never hurt either lol.

You don't "make" traditions. They happen organically.

the players asked Dooley to do special uniforms. it is a point well overlooked. Jones will not come into UT and try to change the brand in any way, but he seems to have his pulse on the generation of players that are playing the game right now, so anything is possible. will be very interested in what Deerpark has to say over the next few months.

Silly question IMO. (Sarcasm)

Real question is does he eat slaw on his pulled pork sandwich? Aka Memphis style!!

Change just for the sake of changing? Where have I heard that before?

When will you people understand that black is NOT ONE OF OUR COLORS!! If you people like black so much, go pull for VANDY, then you can see a team in black almost every Saturday!

Good grief!!!!

I store my pots under cabinets.. He said black jerseys are for entitlement babies..

WTF does that mean?

I think the players and fans would love it. Just the old timers have a problem with it . And tradition? We had Black jerseys first! The unis change every few years.

no, but Todays Youth like the cool looking Uni's. We might should try something even if only for a game!

I vote that this guy, and any other "fan" with these type of thoughts/ideas be sent to some kind of reprogramming camp close to the body farm. If we need to wear uniforms that look like someone put our state flag, and a handful of orange and white crayons in a blender to attract some recruit then we have a lot bigger issues.

I would feel like that kid in the Christmas story when he had to wear that pink bunny outfit if I were a football player wearing those things on national tv.

We are Tennessee not Oregon, that's their thing and that's cool, it's like their signature. Lets not be like all the other copy cats out there like Maryland and Georgia. Show some creativity and come up with a unique idea, not some mental distortion played out on our beloved orange.

Perhaps you should consider Oregon?

Perhaps you should stop getting your panties in a wad over a uniform. Shouldn't matter if some people want to see black. You have worse things to worry about. Like making Tennessee RELEVANT again. At the end of the rocky top day, black uniforms seem a little insignificant. If not then it shows your pettiness. :hi:

My highschool colors are orange and white only...a couple years ago they started wearing almost all black jerseys and some orange with orange and white helmets...as an alumni who played mutiple sports for the school and sacrificed a lot to play football- changing the colors feels a little disrespectful to what we helped build. I'm okay with having a little fun, throwing in some black on occasionally, but please respect the tradition.

Black is okay on special occasion...like the halloween game against SC. But use it to accent the orange and white, not replace it. Respect the tradition but occasionally have a little fun.
