The narrative of Tennessee and Georgia vs Florida

Georgia, being recent National Champions, gets the benefit of the doubt; Tennessee does not. Look on the bright side, if the VOLS take care of business of Miss St. and then go on to beat Georgia it would be a an even bigger win.

Even if we win, they'll trip over themselves to defend UGA and build their case for the playoffs while likewise tossing us under the bus if we lose to Texas or whoever in Atlanta with an 11-2 record. I'm not anti media by any means, but these sports writers HATE to admit when they're wrong. At the end of the day, they're just a bunch of fans like us but they're paid to stubbornly argue.

Zach Ragan is constantly pushing some sort of nonsensical victimhood narrative that we at Tennessee don't need. I wonder what he would be saying if we had outgained Florida 455 to 228 (like UGA did), but Florida had outgained Georgia 361 to 312 (like UF did us). I doubt he would be arguing ESPN was treating Georgia unfairly. The guy is an embarrassing clown.

I think what people, especially talking heads, fail to grasp is florida is not a bad football team. They just have not been playing well enough to win.

And they are playing one of the most brutal schedules I can remember.

And on another note, no team “toys” with a conference rival. The writer lost all credibility with me when I read that silly line.

As I keep seeing the narrative unfold, the more I think we need to beat UGA and be 11-1 to get a playoff spot.

These talking heads are still angling for Bama to get in ahead of us.
