Vols getting praise despite the loss in Athens. I don't want to claim moral victories, but Vols are getting positive press. Everyone knows a Big Orange Storm is coming! :cool2:

Saturday’s loss between the hedges stung. The Vols entered the game as 17-point underdogs but emerged with a lot of respect after a three-point loss in a game where they never really looked like underdogs.

We have turned the corner. It's becoming more obvious to the talking heads, but when we beat UF Saturday, more will be said about how bad FL/muschamp than us being a threat. This is good for us. "underrated"
If Worley stays healthy, which is a big? (considering our o/line)...we will be all over the media later in the season.

If they are going to get this team , it better be this year. Tn is taking giant steps back up the hill.

this is the key to me from the GA game. Tennessee looked like they belonged and never looked out of the game. I saw a team that played GA toe to toe for 4 quarters and I think if we played that game 10 times we would win 5.

I have the same feeling that people will say we beat Florida due to Florida being not so good this year.

This is what we were expecting. However, I prefer to be the underdog as far as the rest of the nation sees us. It's too early for the rest of the nation to come to the realization that the Giant has awoken.

I'd prefer to lie low through another couple of wins before everyone else takes notice.

Even in our heyday, I loved when we were considered underdogs.

Staples gets it. Check out the front page of Si.com. Numero uno representin' and he has some high praise for the Big Orange.

The nation gets it? Maybe, maybe not. I've been following the orange since my undergrad days (LBJ was president) and I've never thought Tennessee got the respect it deserved. Every slump brought out the 'told ya so's', but even the upstart teams like BYU, Boise State, the flavor of the month were treated as more credible than the good Vol teams. Take the Georgia game for instance. I've read just as much analysis that 'Georgia was overrated' as I have 'Tennessee is better than we thought.' Tennessee needs to forget about the talking heads, the pollsters, and the odds makers (what idiot came up with a 19 point spread?) and concentrate on winning; the rest will take care of itself.

p.s.: This team looks to have the makings of a damned fine Vol squad!

Wow... I really hope you're right.

At the beginning of the season I didn't think this team would be able to win 6 games with this schedule. Now I am optimistic we might get to 6 wins.

check out John Cave Osborne's 10 and 2 video- I think all of his videos are hilarious! He makes fun of us, but it is so spot on about how we can get carried away! His website is allvoly'all.com. It is definitely more fun to be an optimistic sunshine pumper!
