Just following the last two weeks and thinking back to last year i have noticed a big change in the way thier cars run......

In 04 when Jr had his real good year, he suffered on the mile and a halfers that he really needed to be good at. In 05 he hit the wall in about eveyone of those races.

But in 06 and so far this year the DEI cars are better at those cookie cutters and have slipped in the big boy restrictor plates. Is this b/c they are focusing more on those tracks.

I love to see him win in Daytona and Dega but wouldnt it be better for Jr if they ran better on the "boring" tracks???

Absolutely it's better. I'd rather they run well at 20 or so races and be iffy at 4 instead of the other way around.

Ditto....This slow start for Jr. really hurts though....He needs to get it going here in the next couple of weeks...I know he can't win them all, but he's a better drive than these finishes he has shows

Eh, I'm not too worried about it. The car was great yesterday, he passed the eventual race winner and was pulling away before he pulled back to take care of the loose wheel. They better figure out what's causing the engines to blow up about 450 miles before the end of the race, though.

Yeah most definitely, I had a feeling yesterday when Truex blew up that Jr. wasn't going to be far behind.....They've definitely stepped up the downforce program at DEI though, that's for sure....I agree with you that I'd rather be iffy in 4 races and be GOOD, sometimes great at the other 20 races....Captain Obvious here, but it'd pay off more
