SDCC: Next Batman Movie to Start Filming in 2010! - Superhero Hype!

Gary Oldman just announced at the Warner Bros. Book of Eli panel that a third Batman film will go into production next year.

"I think the next Batman is next year," he told a fan who asked about when the long-awaited "Dark Knight" follow-up would hit, "We start shooting next year. You didn't hear that from me."

WOW.

Justice League, Green lantern, + a few others the DC universe is on fire.

I will even go as far as saying Screw spidey, Iron man and the hulk..........:)

The ultimate potential as always been DC..........:eek:hmy:

I am really excited to hear this....Who do you all think will be the next set of villians? You guys think that it will go by the original ones and it be the Penguin and Catwoman, or do you think they may go like the old TV show did and go with the Penguin and Riddler combo?

Mark it down, Riddler and Penguin will be in the next movie.

Look for Depp and Hoffman...

riddler seems likely...though he'd be a psycho murderer i guess as opposed to his just commit grand, confusing crimes self

And the other would probably be catwoman. I think Nolan had said something in the past about the penguin either being too silly or something he didn't wan't to work with

Ironman 2 is coming out. Green lantern is sharing ryan reynolds with Deadpool for around the same time. Along with thor, avengers, captain america, and another spiderman.

That said, DC's not going to get the same financial success in theaters as it did w/ dark knight in any later movies the same way that marvel won't see spiderman 2 money again anytime soon.

That said, after the drop that watchmen was (well, and spirit too), the two are at about the same level in the box office department.

Penguin by trade is an arms dealer. Not Burton's Penguin.

I dunno, I think it would be awesome for Penguin to be Bruce Wayne's business competitor (Bruce Wayne and Oswald Cobblepot scenes would be priceless) and have the Riddler Batman's nemesis.

that could work. My only hope is that if there are two villains again, the second isn't another quick confrontation solved by shoving the bad guy off a ledge...:blink:
