The next stretch

This team is looking better. You really can’t say anything bad about how the ladies played today against Kentucky. If they continue in this mode they can be a force the rest of the season. Key played really well today. Burrell and Davis looked very good.

Ole Miss, Florida this week(end) and Miss St. and Kentucky the following week. First two are at our place. Ole Miss might be a trap game but I don't think so. I see us going 4-0.
Ole Miss also strikes me as a trap, but MSST seems very beatable this season. Alot of SEC teams are on the come-up (including Tennessee) and the conference the most competitive in the country, I'm here for it!

We're probably going to see different predictions because some fans are so beaten down that they are having difficulty seeing or believing what has happened to the team over the last month. I can't blame them. It's been a long time we've seen our team actually improve as the season progresses.

If the ladies continue to play this way, most definitely...Key & KK are the key...They are playing with so much confidence right now!! 🧡

Yes I agree. Still worry a bit but about inconsistent play. The last 4 games have been great though. We have gotten better each time out as well. Even in the loss to UCONN. Continue to improve and we’re right in it with SC at the top of the SEC!

LSU showed SC is not invincible today. They defended them well. We are actually the team in the SEC with the best matchup against them. Looking forward to that game. If Tamari continues playing at this level Boston will be in trouble. Tamari had her number last year defensively. TK had 9 blocks in that game but only 1 point. Time for her to step up offensively.

We have to win the first two and would love to win the Miss St game as well. Kentucky will be a closer game but we can do it and take two from them. They will have a lot more energy at home hopefully we can match it.

2-0 so far

These next 3 are the most important games of our SEC season coming up. Right now we sit at 12-3 and 6-1. Exactly where we were at this point last season.

We then dropped 5 straight to SC, MSST, LSU, A&M and Arkansas.

We’ve avenged two of those losses already. Very important for the trajectory of the program that we perform well in February. February has been unkind to us for a while. That’s when your team should be hitting their stride. Hopefully we’ve found it.

Very impressed with how this team plays through adversity. Being without Suárez was not ideal the last two games but they didn’t allow that to affect them. In seasons past that would have really thrown us off losing a starter. Would have been all we heard Holly talk about in the post game after the loss too. “Well we didn’t have so and so.”

If we can go 4 and 3 that is a top four finish in the league as that would be four league losses and only Kentucky and LSU have three losses everyone else has four and their game versus each other is sure to get almost all of them five and everyone of them four. I don't think 4 and 3 will be easy but certainly if we can find the playing level that we had in some earlier games we can achieve that record and even better. I feel good about winning at Miss St. and Kentucky. I think we can take Auburn at home and Missouri on the road thinking we'll be ready for Georgia this time. The games in question are Texas A&M at their place, and SC at home. I really home we can take the next two and we need to at least take one.

They play ugly ball and don`t have a lot of talent but LSU is the most dangerous team in the SEC right now. Even with a full team they would create a matchup problem for TN.

64-63 that game could have gone either way. I know we beat them just saying they are a dangerous team right now with there style of play. They took SC down to the wire 65-69 so right now they are no easy out.
Any game they play against anyone could go either way. Not worried about them we don't play them anymore. I do hope they keep up what they are doing and beat some of the top teams while losing two or three more themselves.

The bad news is that we have five tough games against ranked opponents (four of which are away) coming up next. The good news is that none of them are trap games...we already know going into each and every one of them that we have to bring our best effort and play our best ball for four quarters. None of this BS of losing focus or taking quarters off. Now we'll see how this team and their coach do when their back is against the wall. If they can't get it done now, they probably won't in the SECT or NCAAT either.

I can’t name a team that hasn’t lost focus in a quarter ... It’s gonna happen teams are gonna go on runs it’s how you respond to adversity that determines a team and this year we’ve been pretty decent at that.

what about Vandy not being in the tourney doesnt that change the seeding and everything with 1 less team?
I have no idea how they plan to handle that. All their games should've been forfeits JMO and everyone that was supposed to play them should get the wins. I bet their bowling team is still playing.

It is tough on fans but the coaching staff did make the adjustments in the final six minutes to win the game. We slowed down on the offensive end and we virtually face guarded their top two scorers with Davis and Burrell it worked out to a 19 to 6 finish. I think you always have to work a plan to try to take the other teams top scorer out of the game. Sometimes you can't do that to early as they have time to adjust when we did it was about perfect.

Great point about making adjustments and giving the opponent little time to readjust.
