When UT goes looking for a new head football coach, whenever that might be, the salary structure should be changed!!!!!

In my humble opinion, the coach should be given a salary plus bonuses for each win.

Maybe 1 million salary and 100k for each win. Or possibly a higher payout for wins against ranked opponents and lessor payout for unranked foes.....

just a thought for the future......I know Phil will be here for a while.

it doesn't happen that way in the real world. what i would like is an incentive package where if they win ten games they get alittle bonus. if they win the sec or go to a BCS bowl get a good bonus, and a NC a monster bonus, but it will never happen. we will just give phil money to finish 3 or 4 in the sec east every year.

most coaches wouldn't sign the contract eventhough it makes sense. fulmer wouldn't sign it because he would lose money under my idea. our biggest mistake was giving fulmer raises after average years. he lost my support when he hired an agent to help with the last one. to me it's a buisness transaction, and he isn't producing.

I have a question. If Fulmer were to get a raise (of any kind) and/or a contract extension after this pitiful season, what do you think would be the reaction of the fan base? (Use your own definition of 'fan.')

That's a contradiction, a non sequitur if you will. If you see it as purely a business transaction, then you should see that he has every right to hire an agent to help him with the pay raise, because -- after all -- business is business.

Hamilton's house burned to the ground, rioting by various people from students to fans to opportunists, and who knows what else out there....the Capital One pillagers might be contracted out by a few to 'visit' Knoxville since they have nothing better to do.

thats what i'm saying fayettevol. he treated it as a buisness transaction, not like his heart bleeds orange. there never should have been an agent brought into the picture. since i look at it like that fulmer is overpaid and not producing results. in short not doing the job he was paid to do. it shouldn't have been a buisness transaction, the guy was suppose to be tennessee football.
