One of my favorite bands. Just downloaded their new album The Slip (for free) on their website. It is very good so far.

They will be at Knox civic in July I believe. I will have to drive 5 hours to see them at the scottrade center in STL. I have never been able to see them live but have always wanted to and have heard they are amazing.

On a side note...two of the 3 bands I want to see live the most I will get to do so this summer. One being NIN and two being Slipknot...the third is Chevelle but it may be a little longer til I get to see them.

Funny story: Both times they've come to the Quad Cities they've been protested by the various churches and have sold out both times.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up on the free download. I'm planning on catching the Knoxville show, too.

I love the album so far. Very good work. I also downloaded the ghosts album which is all instrumental. Eh, I'm not much for instrumentals unless its John5

Anyone else have Ghosts I-IV? I was thinking about picking it up. I think I like the past two offerings more than The Slip so far.

NIN was my favorite act that I saw at Woodstock 94. They (he) really ripped it up.

I downloaded the first volume to just sample it. I'm sure you know already but its all instrumental and from what I've listened to, nothing all that great. But I haven't given it a fair chance yet, and its only $5 for the full download.

I enjoyed the Slip. It's not as good as Year Zero but I like it better than With Teeth. With Teeth was still good, it was just a little too "radio friendly" for me.

One of the best shows I ever saw was NIN and A Perfect Circle in Charlotte.

Chevelle is one of the most underrated bands out IMO. I have seen them 4 times and they were phenonenal each time.

Without doubt my favorite band. With that being said, I always miss their shows for one reason or another.

Really? I think that, start to finish, I like With Teeth second only to PHM. I guess that's fitting, since it is the most similar to Reznor's first album.

Oh, and ditto on Chevelle. Great band.

I like With Teeth as well. I would say The Fragile is tops with me followed by The Downward Spiral then PHM.
