No Labels fuels concerns from Democrats as it registers more than 15,000 voters in Arizona

The centrist group No Labels has registered more than 15,000 people in Arizona, growing Democratic fears of a third-party presidential campaign that will take votes away from President Joe Biden.

I think many, many Americans can identify with No Labels. I most identify as a centrist. Many people cannot stand Democrats on gun control, and many cannot stand Republicans on abortion issues.

Why is this viewed as a help to Trump and damage to Biden? Why do people think that's the way it will play out?

I agree. IMO it's fine to want a 3rd party but we have no idea how this impacts the election. I would guess most of the voters would be mostly independents and some moderates from both parties.

The only thing I can think of is Biden has no (very, very few) hardcore supporters that will vote for him regardless, Trump has quite a few. So pulling away any votes from Biden would be a plus for Trump.

Not that it matters, Biden won't be on the ticket anyway.

I love thar you are so confident about the last part. Epic prediction if you get it right.

I just can't be sure it hurts Biden because the "I hate Trump crowd" is as strong as the "I love Trump" crowd. The people outside those 2 camps will determine it

The "I love everyone" crowd needs a larger following.

Biden is clearly struggling mentally. He’s in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s. As quickly as it progressed, no way will he be able to keep faking it a year from now.

Point well taken with those that say Biden has no real base of support but the Washington elite and bureaucrats.

The hate Trump crowd has taken an economic beating so they won't be near as motivated as they were in 2020 while the I love Trump crowd will be more motivated.

Many Biden voters are voting against Trump, not for Biden.

A viable third party threatens to siphon some of those against-Trump votes...

But Trump can't win without the votes that are tepid on him but hate Biden/D's. They are basically in the same boat

I'm assuming the Trump voters are voting for Trump and many of the Biden voters are voting reluctantly for Biden. A 3rd party player like Manchin might be seen as more favorable by Biden voters but not sway the Trump hardcore.

In other words of the roughly 45% each candidate has now; Trump's is more solid so if it drops to 40 that still beats 30 and 30.

Yeah, I just get the sense in here that a good portion of right leaning people are over Trump but maybe got that wrong

What is so difficult about this..Trump has a massive base but only a marginal ceiling gain by no Biden vote. Pretty much will have little erosion of support. Many many people will choose 3rd Party and hurt Biden. In fact, as good as an opening for 3rd Party since Perot.
Bring it.

Sorry I cannot unbold.

People seem to be assuming they would pick a moderate democrat, but I don't see why they couldn't just as easily pick a moderate republican.

Although they insist they won't run a candidate if they think that candidate will help elect a democrat or republican.

Biden got a lot more of these "Anyone but Trump" votes than vice versa.

Look at biggest diff bw 2016 and 2020. It wasn't deep red or deep blue distructs but independent suburban districts, especially women...
