The best O-line in America has been whipped by teams not named Alabama. The regression in pass blocking is a tangible example.

I hope this is the explanation, and all Vol fans had better hope it is too. It's easy to forget how many coaching changes these young men have had to endure. Would it surprise anyone if Team 117 had their shower technique confused at this stage? Much less assignments, plays, etc. I bet they call their position coaches the wrong names sometimes.

Year two should be much improved despite a drop off in talent. If it's not, we have a real problem. (But damn, a bowl game would have helped out so much to "unlearn what [they] have learned.")

Butch and the best staff in America have to turn this around in an impressive way in Year Two. Hopefully, "confusion reigns" is what held Team 117 back.

I (along with everyone else) was looking forward to our advantage this year with this experienced O-Line. Thought they could really be difference-makers. I was wrong. But so was EVERYONE else. Their lack of performance could be summed up with their silly "stay perfectly still while our QB gets nailed unencumbered"...tactic, with the conversely MULTIPLE movement, holding, bad snaps...means...

I'm ready for them to GO!

To many fans read into the hype of the offensive line. Did they show you anything last year that lead you to believe they were a better line than Alabama or LSU or Oregon. Or Stanford. Enough said.

Experience does not equal talent, intensity, toughness, skill..you get the point. 3 different o line coaches and schemes didn't help them either I'm sure. It's been a tough 4 years for fans, players, students...everyone involved in UT football and no need to bad mouth current players, or past coaches or anyone else at this point, it is what if is and will get better for us all. Best of luck to all of our seniors as they move forward in life, but go to Kentucky please and get us one more win before you go.
