Even I can't find fault with the Obama's on this one. I certainly wouldn't send my daughter to a public school in DC.

I'm pretty sure that the CNN report I saw last night said that the youngest child's (who will be in the lower school) tuition is around 28,000. So, if I remember that number correctly, they must give a break for the 2nd child because his older daughter will be in the middle school and it's tuition is higher (according to the CNN report).

I see the Obamas as a sort of private school type as well...at least in DC..but I also wonder how much the Secret Service has to play in these decisions (at least vetting a potential list).

It is okay for the elites to send their kids to private schools, but when parents that are trapped in those same DC public shools want to be given an alternative (vouchers), Obama and his kind seem to have an issue with that...

Sidwell is a liberal arts quaker school. Great education and not a place you send your kid if he is an athlete trying to get a scholarship playing D1 football

Its also where Chelsey went and the SS probably prefers it to the other choices (especially public)

Yep... talk about change... they are even sending them to the same schools. Oh and Al Gore son went to Sidewll too after he got the boot from St. Albans. Unfortunetly that little tidbit of news as to why he got the boot never made the news during the Clinton administration. Gee wonder why?

That's probably the government rate. Double what everyone else pays.:p


I wonder if the school gets any upgrades necessary for security and what-not.
