prolific with Dobbs because of the added dimension of him running but he also appears to have a better arm and very good presence.

Yes, Yes, Yes. Opens the field to more plays. This will be a good thing.

I agree. But right now I'm having a very difficult time seeing anything other than an absolutely awful defense that can't tackle me.

They just have so much more team speed on offense than we have on defense that our players can do nothing about. Hopefully we can close that gap in the coming years.

AGREED. But please all understand what 9 weeks of practice does to a kids development helps as well.. No question Dobbs should start at mizzou

I agree completely! Dobbs fits the system much better than Worley. I love Worley to death. I know he gives it his all. He just doesn't possess the skill set to run this offense. He has no zip on his passes, always under throws the deep ball, and is not mobile (enough). Dobbs looked to have more zip and accuracy on his passes, and had speed to keep it and pick up big yards and 1st downs. Looked to have a good grasp on controlling the offense in a hostile envoriment.Drove and scored a td on bama's D. Also gives another dimension to our offense, which makes our offense more balanced, and keeps the opposing D off balance. I hope he gets the start against mizzou. GoVols

So yes, dobbs is better than Worley and Peterman. But he's bottom of the depth chart. So now do you keep playing him even if you know that Ferguson is better just to keep a damn redshirt? Seems stupid. Quit holding on to these redshirts and play the best freaking players. So dumb...

correct me if I am wrong, if Ferguson was better than Dobbs, then why did Dobbs go in the game? Can you really say who is the best freshman QB?

Having seen him in game action against easily the best D we will see all year instead of his high school highlights... yes, this kid is the real deal it seems. He's smart, he can run on the read option (unlike Worley who almost always hands off), and he can get the ball down field accurately.

Hate to have burn a RS, but it might just be worth it looking at how he played vs Bama.

We got our butts kicked today, but i believe our smarter fans won't get discouraged..I don't want to bash Worley bc i think the kid gives his all, but certainly not the answer..There will be games where he will not lose it for this and next year's team, but he is not the type that can win it..We have had this kid on campus for 3 years, and to me it is obvious that he is not a SEC type calibur qb, or any main conference for that matter...I have looked at many teams and their qb this year, and it is hard to find a team which he would be the starter..I know they wanted to redshirt these freshmen, but we have to build for the future, and a team that will have brand new offensive and defensive lines, plus still a really young team..We have to have a QB that can makes plays on his own, in order for this and next year's team to overachieve..I think we would be better off letting this kid play the rest of the season, instead having a half under his belt, when next season starts..
