They have a 3.87 team ERA. On par with Arkansas’ and Vanderbilt’s pitching. Overall I guess Vanderbilt would be the comparable SEC team whenever you factor in pitching and offense.

ND is up to #6 in real-time RPI (1 spot above Vandy). I thought the #1 seed was supposed to have an easy path? At least they don’t mash like GT or the Camels!

I think this is the reason no team since #1 1999 Miami team won the CWS from the #1 seed. The desire to put the nearest local teams in the various regionals and then the alternate home / away team. They really don't protect or provide the top seeds in baseball.
