I hope he can run like Walter Payton, because replacing 4-5 o-linemen he'll have to to move the chains. Then again this upcomin line could be the best we've had in years, who knows? A new o-line coach and a new o coordinator may fit well with the chemistry of 4 new starters...they may gel and be the 5 bulldozers that Arian needs to be a 1st down pac man.

Perhaps we should wait to see how the kid looks against Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Alabama before we hail him as the savior of UT football.

That's not exactly saying much. They could be the best offensive line that we've had in five years and still be terrible.

I certainly hopes he does great this season, he showed great potential last year. He really broke out against South Carolina when Riggs went down. In his final 5 games as a freshman he had 742 yards rushing averaging 148.4 ypg. That's pretty darn good.

You don't know what you're talking about. Michael Munoz was everyone's hero. :p

I don't know about everyone, but I know that Pollack certainly was a big fan of Munoz.

The defensive ends from Notre Dame liked him as well.

I think if he bounces back from his injury well then he should be a complete load to bring down he really did show some of Reggie Bush in his runs last year or atleast i thought so maybe not as quick but hes only a sophmore

Reggie Bush??? They're totaling different styles of running backs.

and excuse me but that was the early knock on Foster he didnt always run straight up the middle he bounced it to the outside quite abit i mean the Kentucky game was a perfect example you didnt think he ran like Bush in that game i have heard several people compare him to Bush

Don't worry about it Ole Smoky. If you say anything positive about any of UT's players there are some UT "fans" who will come to knock them. Especially if they are a good kid like AF.

foster is a good back and maybe he will become a great back but im still not sure he is better than hardesty or coker. all three are really good

If AF is not the best we have then we are in very good shape.

Just because you happen to like Arian Foster doesn't mean that he's stylistically ANYTHING like Reggie Bush.

Bush/Foster

Height: 6-0/6-1
Weight: 200/215
5 Longest runs - 76, 65, 65, 65, 45 / 66, 43, 23, 21, 14
Rushing TD's - 16/5
Rushes per Rushing TD - 12.5/36.6
Yards per carry - 8.7/4.8
Receiving TD's - 2/0
Receiving yards - 478/148

The only thing that looks really similar about these two running backs is their height!

I'm not saying anything negative about Arian Foster. I'm just saying that he is not even remotely similar to Reggie Bush stylistically. Also, he is unproven against the top teams in the conference.

And im saying your wrong those stats are pointless to me because Bush played more then Foster so those stats are what i would say arent fair, plus adding in that the defenses of the pac 10 are prolly much like your pee wee football team VOL423 they suck

we are in great shape if all the backs get healthy. hardesty was in front of foster on the depth chart before he got hurt and coker can just fly.
