Could move the championship to a better place but overall I like the changes. Daytona to finish out the regular season could be a phenomenal move.
I think they're going to start rotating the championship race every few years. I'm game for that.

First move that I think nascar has gotten right recently with the schedule changes. Now to get them back to full horsepower...

Rotating every couple years would be good. Homestead got boring and is gonna be boring no matter where they put that race on the schedule. They need to make some tweaks with this rules package. I think they take huge swings at them and miss. They need to tweak stuff and try to make it better through that instead of putting it in file 13 and starting completely over every couple years. JMO

I can’t believe nobody has mentioned this yet:

The Pocono doubleheader....wtf
Yeah, that's crazy. Guess they figure they could get more folks trekking out to the middle of absolute nowhere if they get two races out of the deal. Maybe the doubleheader weekends in Indy Racing League have been successful to give NASCAR some good vibes about it.

Daytona moving off its traditional July 4th weekend stings but it does seem to have a lot of weather issues that weekend.

I kinda wish they would just dump the Brickyard altogether though, that race, in my opinion, is always a chore to watch, hardly anything happens. Plus figure it would be awful to attend since can't see but a tiny portion of the track no matter where you sit.

Phoenix getting the finale works for me, mostly since I'm a Harvick fan :) (though he hasn't mastered the new layout quite yet).

Glad Atlanta got to move a few weeks later. Middle of February is an iffy time weather wise in the there, makes a lot more sense to hit the West Coast first. This year wasn't too bad in Atlanta, windy as I'll get out, but they got lucky temperature wise. Though even if they didn't move it, I would be there, already renewed my tickets for next year.

Miami moving to earlier in the year (since it's not the finale) also makes sense weather wise.

Not surprising that Martinsville got a night race. They didn't invest all that money lighting the place just for local racing.

Any Kyle Busch fans that live close to Nashville, if you weren't aware, he will be racing the All American 400 on April 14th at the Nashville Fairgrounds. Technically it's the 2018 AA400 due to a rainout last November. He tried it a few years ago but didn't quite finish it off. He was leading, it started raining, they kept the cars on the track for at least 20 laps of caution, then for some reason they decided to go back green though the track was still clearly wet, he spun out, they threw the caution and ended the race (with Ross Kenseth winning).

They are also doing the local divisions that day too. Driver intro/autograph session starts at 11:00am. Green flag (presumably the local stuff first) is at 12noon. Tickets are General Admission and are $15 adult, $12 Senior/Military, $5 kids 6-12, and Free for under 5.

I'll be there, not because of Kyle but because I always go to the Fairgrounds races, plus have my raincheck from November still.

I have a sneaky suspicion that one of those races will be on the Pocono road course.

Also to note, these schedule changes are only the beginning. 2021 will probably bring midweek races and some short track additions. Theres a big push with drivers to add Nashville Fairgrounds to the schedule.

Please, please, please, please let it happen. Hopefully the stupid politicians and fair board will allow it (they played a part in the track losing both their Cup dates back in 1984). They're more focused on building a stupid soccer stadium on the grounds right now. Been a huge fight to keep the track going (stupid Karl Dean). Bunch of idiotic hipsters and jerkbags moving into the area complaining about track noise. It's the 2nd oldest asphalt track in the country, do some stinking research before you move into a place. Them complaining about the track noise just as dumb as if I moved into a place with a train track touching my property and complaining that I can hear the trains.

Sorry, the Fairgrounds track is a sensitive subject for me. The going ons around the place is the most I have cared about political mess in my life. I would keep going about my distaste for the anti-track crowd but that's about as clean as I can keep it.

I'll definitely try to be there. Because of Kyle lol

Not a fan of the Championship finishing in Phoenix.

Doesn't seem fitting for a finale but I believe it's only for this year.

Indy in the summer heat is questionable.

The pocono double dip sounds fun and having Daytona as the last chance is genius from the fan perspective.

Love having more short tracks in the chase.

Not a fan of them leaving Daytona in July but I do like where they moved it to on the schedule.

Agree 100% with the Brickyard, it’s always a boring race it seems, been a handful that I can remember as being pretty good. I’ve been one time and as far as the prestige of being there, it was a cool thing to see and cool to walk around and take everything in but I wouldn’t go back. I sat off the 4th turn and could see the short shoot, turn 4, and on down the front stretch but that was it.

Phoenix will be alright for next year but I bet it starts getting moved every year or every other year and that’s alright with me.

I’m probably most excited to see Martinsville under the lights. I think that will be a sight to be seen.

If NASCAR wants buzz at the championship race, make it Daytona. If it wants the drivers to earn, put it at Darlington.
