I don't think I've ever started an "Official" thread, but I wanted to comment on the ending of the Ole Miss game and saw no thread.

Bizarre yet harmless decision by the Illinois State player to miss his 2nd FT on purpose. Sure, he left the Black Bears with just a full-court heave, but a made FT would have sealed it. Perhaps it was in his head that the 2nd FT meant little, so he had a 'brain cramp' and missed on purpose.

Fellow top seed Arizona is out. With Ole Miss also out, the 1 and 2 in that 'region' are gone. If we win all three home games, there's a decent chance we'll be facing some low seeds in NYC. It's just the NIT, but the Vols historically seldom advance far in any tournament. I want this title.

Preseason and Postseason NITs?

Good experience for coach and the players. Sure am glad we didn't draw Bucknell.

But I doubt Illinois St. goes 17-22 from 3 again. That's redonkulous.
