Tennessee owns a 21-19-2 all-time edge in the 43-game series, although the Bulldogs have won the last three meetings, following the Vols winning three of four from 2006-09. UT is 11-9-1 vs. Georgia in Knoxville.

The Vols' last win in the series was a 45-19 decision at Neyland Stadium in 2009, which was Georgia's largest margin of defeat over the last five seasons.

Six of the last eight meetings have been decided by 12 or more points, but the last two have been decided by eight (UGA 20, UT 12 - 2012) and seven (UGA 51, UT 44 - 2013) points.

Represent the first win over a ranked team since 10/31/09 vs. No. 21 South Carolina (31-13) and the first over a top 10 team since 10/7/06, a 51-33 win in Athens over No. 10 Georgia.

Improve Butch Jones to 54-29 (.651) in seven seasons as a head coach while marking the 803rd win in Tennessee football history.

Give Tennessee its fifth consecutive win at Neyland Stadium and a 10-3 record in its last 13 games at home since Nov. 5, 2011. UT is 33-14 (.702) at Neyland Stadium since 2007.

Improve Tennessee to 22-19-2 all-time vs. Georgia and 12-9-1 in Knoxville while snapping a three-game losing streak to the Bulldogs.

The Vols will officially debut their new adidas Smokey Gray uniforms on Saturday, which were unveiled on Aug. 15, at Tennessee's media day.

Tennessee last wore an alternate uniform on October 31, 2009 when the Vols donned a black jersey against No. 21 South Carolina, a 31-13 victory, the last over a ranked opponent.

Saturday's game will mark just the third time since the 1930s that a UT team has worn anything other than orange at home. The other coming in the 2004 season opener when the Vols wore throwback white jerseys in a 42-17 win over UNLV.

Georgia's secondary admits they don't even know how to line up:

Georgia defensive backs express problems getting signals | timesfreepress.com

The biggest issue according to Georgia's defenders this week is that the secondary isn't always getting the signals before each snap from inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera.

"We just need to look at each other before the play is called," Wiggins said. "With most of the calls we get, we have simple little signals that we call, but just looking at the sideline from the other side of the field is kind of hard because things are moving so fast. Offenses run different types of tempo, and it's just something we have to pay close attention to."

Said Herrera: "Nobody really knows it that well except for me and [inside linebacker] Ramik [Wilson] and some of the people who have been here. Those guys who haven't played that much probably don't know them, and we get new signals every week, so that's a problem, too."

Dawg fans drink your electrolytes. It is going to be a long night of sobbing into the phone when you call your favorite post-game show.

Not really. First one was 48 hours. The rest have been around 24. Today was a few hours early.

used to be game threads were only started on the actual game day so yes they are getting earlier. Any earlier was considered bad luck
