Hope UT puts a shellacking on them after that missed opportunity they had down in Athens

Double-double. No matter how it's going on offense, Stokes always hits the boards hard and has shown he can rebound against the best.

I've actually thOught this was an area he should improve on. With his size and strength I feel he should get double digits rebounds each game, but 4 of 6 games he's under 8 boards. I'm sure it'll improve but he needs to go after it like maymon, still he should only be a hs senior he's not doing a bad job.

UT covers the 8.5 point spread...might even double it. Money in the bank.

Game Notes:

• Tennessee currently ranks fifth nationally in average home attendance (17,211). The Vols are
riding a streak of five consecutive seasons with a national top-five finish in attendance.
• Saturday’s game marks the start of a stretch during which three of four Tennessee games take place
at home in Thompson-Boling Arena. The Vols have won seven of their last eight home games.
• Tennessee has won 14 of its last 18 games against Georgia and also has triumphed in nine of its last
10 home games vs. the Bulldogs.
• The Vols are 2-0 against Georgia on Feb. 4, with both wins coming in Knoxville (1949, 1961).
• The Vols’ roster includes four Peach State natives, including starting guards Cameron Tatum
(Lithonia) and Trae Golden (Powder Springs). That duo, along with Georgia natives Kenny Hall
(Stone Mountain) and Jordan McRae (Midway), accounts for 52 percent of UT’s scoring and 67 percent
of the team’s assists this season.
• Tennessee’s four Georgia natives have struggled recently. Tuesday at Kentucky, the quartet shot a
combined 2-for-18 from the field for just five points with four turnovers.
• Tennessee’s Trae Golden and UGA’s Dustin Ware share the same hometown (Powder Springs, Ga.)
• Senior guard Cameron Tatum is just 12 points shy of scoring his 1,000th career point. He will
become the 44th all-time member of UT’s 1,000 Point Club and the third from Georgia.
• Freshman power forward Jarnell Stokes has had four steals in each of UT’s last two games.
• Cuonzo Martin, in just his fourth season as a college head coach, defeated two coaches last month
who combine to boast five national championships. Connecticut’s Jim Calhoun has three NCAA titles,
and Florida’s Billy Donovan has won two.
• The Vols have played eight ranked opponents this season, including five in the month of January. But
just one of UT’s nine remaining regular-season opponents (Florida) is currently ranked in the AP poll.
• UT’s official NCAA RPI is up to a season-best 149, and Sagarin ranks the Vols’ SOS as 22nd nationally.

Stokes will have 18 points and 12 or more rebounds, Tennessee by 15,, 72-57... Been a fan since 1966, UT just seems totally out of sync.. About the worst Ive seen them since the 1977 year with Cliff Wettigg coaching however you spell his name... Absolutely hate it when Tatum tries to drive to rim against tall guys..Not a Tatum fan, but think he will have a decent night, maybe 4 three pointers and 14 points total... GBO
