The Official Texas A&M @ #1 Tennessee Series Thread (Fri. April 4 7PM EDT ESPNU) (Sat. April 5 Doubleheader SECNET+)

You will appreciate this. My wife texted me today, from a Sheetz, on her way to WVa. She went in to get a snack and September Gurls was playing in the store!
I was stunned when I heard it playing in Publix (in Alabama no less) about five years ago. The Bangles SG cover was posted today in The Dugout,

Nice win today! I didn’t catch the end. I’m assuming y'all run ruled them though! Man, what happened to A&M? How do you go from preseason #1 in the country, to 1-9 in SEC play and an overall disaster on the season? Something went horribly wrong there.

I have no idea, injuries play a part. They’ve played a pretty good SEC schedule thus far, but I agree, pretty steep fall.

Nice series W at OU.
We’ve used 3 pitchers in two games (assuming Evans finishes off the 9th). That’s huge for LSU. Bc once we get past Evans and Cowan out of the pen, we’re in trouble. We just don’t have anyone else that seems to be able to get the job done. Noot is ok I guess, but that’s really about it. We’re going to lose games bc of the pen this year. But, I’m happy with a 9-2 SEC start so far!

It's mind-boggling. A lot of the same faces we saw last year. Feel kind of bad for the kids that stuck around after their sleezeball coach went to Texas.

Synchro-Vox…. Technology? 🤣
Live action lips over drawn characters. Not sure how they did that back in pre-digital days, but it certainly cut production costs!

My favorite was Space Angel ...an old fashioned serial, complete with Scottish engineer. Cowboy Bob Brandy (with his horse Rebel, and German war bride Ingrid) showed the episodes on his daily children's show on WTVC in Chattanooga.

Space Angel ran until 1964--the same year Gene Roddenberry sold his Star Trek concept--complete with Scottish engineer--to Desilu Studios, and two years later successfully pitched it to NBC as "Wagon Train in space."

Just a little further back beyond my memory. I do remember bringing my baby brother home, August of 64.
