Half a million? ....I've always wanted to see manufactures dust off their best designs and offer modern versions available at premium prices, but that is insane.

That's the result you get when you lock top shelf designers and engineers in a room and tell them "go nuts." Once you get a taste for ground-up car engineering and one offs, it becomes readily apparent how easy it can be to spend $700k making something, especially that awesome.

I consider myself a legit car buff, and while car guys will rarely if ever have a genera GOAT discussion (it's always categorized instead), if anybody did, the Speedster there would have to be considered.

And as far as road-going anything, Clarkson had it dead on earlier, straight six + five speed gear box + rear wheel drive + limited slip is absolutely, completely, unarguably the be-all, end-all of driving configurations.

Where did you watch the first episode of season 17? My dvr didn't pick it up. I searched Top Gear and can't find anything but previous seasons for the next two weeks even though that website says the 2nd episode airs on July 3rd????

New episode was pretty solid. New Aston ad I'm big on anything with euro hot hatches. Plus my youngest bro lives in lucca Italy so that was cool.
