The OFISHAL OFISHAL OFISHAL Thanksgiving Thread

First double batch of cornbread dressing in the oven (traditional - cornbread and stale white bread, celery and onion, butter, chicken stock, sage rosemary thyme salt pepper.

Starting the second double batch now - same as above plus sausage and pecans. (Hush, NorCal.)

The turkey continues to dry brine, at least as best as I can tell.

I would like to add another holiday to the calendar: the Sunday before Thanksgiving is henceforth Purge the Fridge day. Yes, including the hidden carton of expired buttermilk and the half of a pickled jalapeño floating in a quart Mason jar. What the farkle sparkle.

I'm so glad to see you posting today @hmanvolfan

Feeling better from Perkins?
More confused than ever. Could’ve sworn I had food poisoning from hash browns and a cheese, tomatoes and mushroom omelette. Talked to my oncologist nurse to cancel an infusion and she said she thought I have a stomach virus because a lot of people are getting it, even three people in the doctors office are out with it. All I know is I can’t eat anything without throwing it up. Perfect timing for Thanksgiving. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If the mushrooms were stored wrong then it was food poisoning. Last time I got it I'm sure it was from mushrooms
