Lou Holtz real legacy is probably going to be that he was a master at taking programs on the downturn and bringing them back to the top, or near there anyway. But he did it while cheating.

I thought I was right earlier when I said every program he left, he left under a cloud and the program then got busted.

If Lou was good at one thing, it was knowing when to get out of town.

Like the old fashioned Western, where the bad guy was told, "Leave town by sundown, or else." Lou always seemed to know just when to saddle his horse.

I really like the old guy. He's funny in a room. But it does seem he is not above cheating to win.

The sad thing, this time around, he cheated and didn't win.

At ND, they let him get away with the NCAA infractions because it was big bad Notre Dame, it was fair game at SC though and he flew the coop at the right time.

Boy Spurrier has got himself into some stuff that he didnt even create.

I was reading about these recent infractions and thinking that ol' Visor Vis probably wonders why the heck he decided to take this job!

That paper hated Lou with a deep passion.

The amount of articles slamming him is quite funny to read

I, for one feel kinda bad for Spurrier. He's probably one of the most up and up Head FB coaches in the land. He didn't deserve this. Holtz is a slimy little weasel who deserves to be beaten like a red headed bammer fan.
