Butch is landing highly rated recruits and classes overall without winning here yet. He's even building a rep for taking lower rated guys that turn out to be good players. If I've never heard of the recruit, I've got to where I just trust the coaches because I feel they really take the time to evaluate them properly. To top it off, everyone is qualifying to get in and there are very few off the field problems.

The team seems to be tight nit like family, and everyone is showing up daily for off season training that by all reports is transforming bodies at a high clip.

Even though the O-line is being played up as our weakness, I think it's purely because their all new starters. Personally I think they will hold up well.

It's looking good as far as landing Tuttle and Richmond, and a top 10 class is very likely again. This staff over achieves in recruiting. Add a winning record and they will truly take their pick of who they want.

And for those that say, "we still have to see if Butch can coach", we knew he could coach coming in. The question was, could he recruit. The answer is he11 yes!

There's a positive air around this team that I haven't felt in at least a decade. Anyone being negative or pessimistic must just be that type of person.

And before I set off an uproar with those that will ultimately bash me for being optimistic, read the thread title. You don't have to respond to every thread on VN and there is an ignore function. I'm just wondering if there are others that share my enthusiasm....Ah what the heck, bash away. I could not care less.:hi:

You get a like and my admiration on the last sentence alone... And I concur, I just may not be as optimistic about the lines just yet

But but but what about all the three stars we are signing! I mean, what're we gonna do if we don't sign a top 5 class. We . . . We might not ever win another sec game . . . Wwwaaaaaa. I want a coach that can actually recruit. Wwwwaaaa

And that's the problem with some of you. Instead of seeing this as a place to respectfully discuss things, you make it into a pissing contest.

One last suggestion, have Freak change your screenname to Optimist Prime. Ride the wave.

Besides big harry sounds a little creepy...
