It was. Our D played better than I thought they would.Clearly though I am tired of the gimmicky plays. It makes me appreciate "Harbaugh" football that much more. Oregon implemented the spread offense several years ago out of need. We didn't have the players to line up for smash mouth football. I think it's time to do away with logos and quotes and "oooh look we're fast" and line up and play freaking football. Thomas was clearly a loose canon. Maybe he needs another year considering it was his first year starting.

Quite true. Abandoned completely. We've been in situations before this year where the running game was not there but they kept at it. Thomas was clueless with the reads imo. Masoli would have done a better job. Not with the passing though.

Kelly absolutely outcoached himself. Got a lot of breaks and just gagged. All the gimmick garbage won. I will give the AU D line credit for making reads more difficult for Thomas than he is accustomed to. He was absolutely lost.

Yes. Auburn's D line was on him before he was able to make a decision several times.

D-line represent.
