1. Any road win is a good one. The defensive deficiencies still exist, but they got some key stops late.
2. Good job by Bobby Maze identifying that he had a huge quickness advantage against Swansey and exploiting it. He'll have the same opportunity when guarded by Michael Porter Tuesday night.
3. Whoever is coaching Georgia the next two years has a nice nucleus to build on. Their freshmen are impressive.
4. I've never seen a player with worse body language than Scotty Hopson. He acts like a guy headed for a day in the salt mines.
5. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Cameron Tatum will lead the SEC in scoring before his career is over.
6. Huge road win for Louisville. We'll see if that gets them going in a positive direction.
7. Marquette's second half destruction of West Virginia looks good for Tennessee. Kansas being killed by Michigan State, not so much.
8. Greg Monroe is an absolute star in the making. He's the best Hoya frontcourt player since Alonzo Mourning.
9. I'll be interested to see how Arkansas handles prosperity. Tonight's game against Mississippi State will be a good indicator.
10. Alabama-LSU tomorrow should give us an idea of which team will contend in the West. Both teams appear to have both significant talent and glaring weaknesses.

May I ask what you saw from Tatum today that led you to include that prediction in today's post game report?

Tennessee is always going to be at or near the top of the SEC in scoring. We saw the outside component of his game Tuesday. The attacking the basket portion of his game was noticeable today. When he melds the two, he's going to score 20+ per game in this system.

Tatum is a a better slasher (not saying he can't stroke it because we've all seen he can) - he just needs to realize... when he's cold, he's really cold.. and not keep forcing it like he did today and the 2nd half against the Zags.

We have a number of players that need to learn their roles and control. Hopefully that will come with time and experience.

Who else thinks that Brian Williams has been a huge waste of a scholly? Today's line against UGA: 12 minutes, 2 points, 3 reb., and 4 FOULS. Wow, what a presence!

If he was only white - he could be our token white guy like Michigan State and their unlimited amount of slow white centers.

Brian Williams last three games: Kansas 7 mins. 4 pf 0 points, Gonzaga 12 mins. 3 reb. 2 points, and UGA today 12 mins. 4 pf, 3 reb. and 2 points. Take it for what its worth.

He has struggled, he needs alot of work. I am not Brian Williams biggest fan, but you said "who else thinks he is a waste of a scholarship?"

I totally agree with the assessment that Tatum will be amongst the SEC leaders by the time he graduates from here.

It's so disappointing though. Hopson has the ability to do this as well, but he's too content on shooting threes.

By the time Brian Williams' four years are up I think those that appreciate true basketball will fill that Williams contributed nicely.

I'm amazed at how many people continue to talk about Hopson's "ability" to do this and that, despite there being no evidence of such.

A classic example of our defensive deficiencies was the Swansey 3ptr that beat the shot clock. Chism was right on him and chose to back off instead of putting up a hand that would have probably forced a miss.

Hopson needs a confidence game. I think once he has that game where everything goes his way then he will be fine. I just hope it comes this year.
