1. A crushing loss for Temple. They now must win at Dayton Saturday to entertain thoughts of an at large bid.
2. Great win for LaSalle. With what they will return and the addition of Aaric Murray, they'll win 20 games next year.
3. I, in general, have immense respect for NBA scouts. That said, I'm amazed that they don't think more highly of Dionte Christmas. I think he's going to be an exceptionally solid pro.
4. Sometimes, I hear a coach voice an idea that I absolutely love. LaSalle's John Giannini put one of those out there tonight. He simply said that, after a horrible pair of games last week, they decided that the guys who were on winning teams in scrimmages would play in the games. What a novel idea. Making guys earn their minutes.
5. Fran Dunphy is one of the classiest people in coaching. His press conferences are a lesson in how a leader should handle themselves.
6. The A-10 will be loaded next year. There will be 7 or 8 teams who can realistically have preseason hopes of an NCAA bid.
7. Great win for Mick Cronin. Cincinnati has an awfully good argument for a berth in the NCAAs.
8. The 76ers should scout every Temple game. Their dance squad has at least 4 members who are NBA quality.
9. Officiating in college basketball is awful everywhere. Time zone or conference doesn't really matter. It's just degrees of suckitude.
10. Every member of the Philadelphia media I spoke with wanted to know what's wrong with Tennessee. At least the program is relevant enough that people are still paying attention.

That's interesting to know.

What did you say?
A team that is coached by a man who believes in three point shooting and creating turnovers and can't shoot consistently outside of 12 feet or guard the ball is going to struggle.

It was great to see Cincinnati give Huggins the respect that he deserved tonight. It was a nice gesture by the fans.

The relationship between Huggs and the fans was never a problem. If they were making the decisions, he'd still be UC's coach.

That's fair and reasonable.

I go to Moorestown, NJ (of all places) on business all the time. I have never been to Philly. Is it worth my time one night to take the drive on 73 into town and check it out?

Without a doubt.

Yes, especially if you enjoy history and have time to really look around the city.

I used to live in Medford Lakes, N.J. which isn't too far from there. I haven't been to Philly since I was about 11 but I loved it.
