1. Pitt is very good. They are somewhat vulnerable to full court pressure, especially when Levance Fields is out of the game, but that's about it.
2. Jamie Dixon summed up why Pitt has been so consistently good under Ben Howland and himself. Talking about his staff and players: "Losses bother us."
3. Sam Young is the best player I've seen in person this year.He may not be a star in the NBA, but he'll definitely help someone.
4. Nobody plays harder than Seton Hall. When Keon Lawrence, Herb Pope, and Jeff Robinson get eligible next year, Bobby Gonzalez will have an NCAA Tournament quality team.
5. I realize Gonzo brings some of it on himself, but certain Big East officials are obviously gunning for him. Two of guys working the game tonight spent more time telling him to get back into the coaching box than they did watching the game.
6. I have given the number of NCAA bids the SEC deserves a great deal of thought. The number I have decided on: One.
7. Oklahoma State should be in good shape for a bid. Their resume is better than a whole bunch of the teams people are discussing as at large candidates.
8. St. Mary's did a good job of righting their ship. If Patrick Mills appears healthy in the WCC tournament, they committee should give them the benefit of the doubt.
9. Arizona State isn't going far in March. Their inability to find offense cripples their chances.
10. USC is giving Notre Dame a run for their money as this season's most disappointing team. Tim Floyd's squad has collapsed down the stretch.

Good stuff Hat...I hope Jeff works out good at Seton Hall. The young man is a good guy. Im kind of shocked at Mr. Floyd's team and the trouble they have been having, maybe they can turn it around if it's not to late.

Tim got caught in a situation where their backcourt is a mess. Angelo Johnson's departure left them bereft of a quality point guard. The staff also vastly overrated Donte Smith. I'll be surprised if there's not some real roster turnover in the offseason.

I'm a little late on this response. Anyway, I saw Gottlieb on ESPN yesterday give OSU no credit for any accomplishments this year and dismissed them as a tournament team from his standpoint. Was he just showing he's not a homer?
