Last year we won 22 games, total. We've won 15 this year so far. If we were to sweep Mizzou, beat Austin Peay and sweep Auburn (completely ridiculous to ponder) we would be at 22 wins with 31 games left to go!

Last year we won 13 games at home, total. We are currently 12-0 at home.

Last year our record versus UNLV and ASU was 2-5, this year it is 5-1.

At this time last year we had swept one opponent, Alcorn State. That would be our last sweep of the year. This year we've swept Purdue, UNLV and Quinnipiac.

Vincent Jackson drew 6 walks all of last season, he's already walked 12 times.

When the season ended last year, only two pitchers, Godley and E. Martin (both had ERA's of 3.49), had below a 5.00 ERA. This year, so far, only 1 pitcher has an ERA worse than 5.00...long way to go, I know, I know...

Great stuff. I knew it would be a slog the first few years. But I think UT has turned the corner and is back in the SEC.

The SEC went 178-58 in Non-Conference play (0.7542)

The Missouri Valley went 77 - 35 (0.6875)

The Big 12 went 99 - 48 (0.6735)

The ACC went 116 - 60 (0.6591)

The Pac 12 went 101 - 66 (0.6048)

The Big 10 went 68 - 82 (0.4533)

Some how the SEC ranks #2 to the Big 12 in RPI, and #2 to the Missouri Valley in BPI.

The SEC won more games than any of the other conferences even played.

None of the SEC teams have a record below .500. 12 of the 14 teams have double digit wins.

The best team, SC never left the state and home games count less on RPI/BPI.

Tennessee played several teams above 200 in RPI with only 2 teams in the top-50 RPI

Kentucky (after the first weekend) played nobodies

Missouri (thanks partly to cancellations) has played nobodies.

Miss. State has played a handful of toug games but lost nearly all of them.

The Big12 and MoValley played each other alot and have a lot of teams in their areas than make good midweek opponents. Think Wichita St playing Big12 schools.

right now, the SEC is down. I don't think the top-3 are as good as they have been and teams like Miss State and Florida have fallen off the table so-to-speak.

Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Arkansas are in the middle and are okay.

Georgia, Auburn and Missouri are dreadful and will struggle.

So, going into conference schedule, the teams have dividide as follows:

Tier One:
South Carolina
Vanderbilt
LSU

Tier Two:
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Kentucky
Arkansas

Tier 3:
Texas A&M
Mississippi State
Florida
Alabama

Tier 4:
Auburn
Georgia
Missouri

Tier 1 teams have a shot at nation seeds with LSU n on the bubble.

tier 2 teams have a shot at hosting regional games and assuredly being in the tourney

Tier 3 teams have a 50/50 shot at making the NCAA tourney. Usually as 3-seeds.

Tier 4 teams have a less than 50/50 chance at making Hoover and no chance at making NCAA field w/o winning SEC tourney
